Argentina's government has approved to temporarily reduce import tariffs, materials required for the production of footwear products in order to avoid a crisis in domestic shoe industry.

This is one of a series of measures taken by the government to improve the competitive ability in shoemaking.

The import duties will be dropped from 35% to 35%.
